Burlington Protests Trump’s Immigration Order

An estimated 700 people attended a protest Monday in City Hall Park. This was the second protest to happen in Burlington since President Trump signed his executive order on Immigration and Refugees last Friday evening. The executive order bars nationals from seven Muslim-majority countries from coming into the United States, places the refugee program on hold for 120 days and places the Syrian refugee program on hold indefinitely. No one coming through the Burlington International Airport has been affected. All congressmen from Vermont and Governor Phil Scott have spoken out against this order.
