Speed Blizzard

The ski team races 13 New England teams at Stowe Winter Carnival at 9 a.m. Catch a glimpse of Brad Farrell, Guillaume Grand, Meggane Grand, Mary Joyce, and other Purple Knights carve the mountain.

Poetry ALIVE

A Burlington-wide competition with guest poets, in past years the poetry slam has been a big hit, full of passionate performances that illustrate the power of the spoken word. Get ready to snap your fingers. Competition 7- 9 p.m. Dion Student Center, Roy Room

Stowe Winter Carnival

Love winter? Looking for a way to get outside? Head over to the Stowe Winter Carnival this weekend. Make sure to catch the broomball competition that starts at 6 p.m., stay warm at the bonfire, and get down at the ‘Meltdown’ party at 9 p.m.

Women’s Ice Hockey

The women’s hockey team faces Holy Cross at Cairns Arena from 1-3 p.m. Grab a seat by the ice and cheer them on!

Women’s B-Ball                 

The women’s basketball team plays American International College from 1:30- 3:30 p.m. in Ross. Head over to the game and watch the knights jump!

A Twist on Valentine’s Day Chocolate

Watch dessert turn into art while ‘chocolate sculptress’ Emily McCracken works with the dark gold at Lake Champlain Chocolates Factory Store & Café on 750 Pine Street in Burlington, starting at 2 p.m.

Men’s B-Ball

The men’s basketball team takes on American International College from 3:30 -5:30 p.m. in Ross. Go to the game and support your fellow Purple Knights!

MLK Week Prize Drawing

Did you attend MLK events this week and receive a stamp on your ‘passport’? Don’t miss the last event in the MLK week roster, where students with stamped passports from MLK week events have the chance to enter to win prizes. Roy Room, 8 p.m.

Stowe Winter Carnival

Love winter? Looking for a way to celebrate and get outside? Head over to the Stowe Winter Carnival this weekend. This Saturday is the carnival’s last day. The ‘Heady Topper’ Snow-Volleyball Tournament will be a snowy twist on a summertime sport.
